the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and the University of La Reunion organise the next International Conference on Sensitivity Analysis of Model Output (SAMO 2016). The Conference will be held at the University of La Reunion from November 30th to December 3rd 2016 (please visit our website: http://samo2016.univ-reunion.fr/).

The deadline for submission of extended abstracts is March 30th, 2016.

 

SCOPE:

 

Modelling activities are steadily increasing in all scientific disciplines, ranging from financial to environmental assessments. Sensitivity Analysis is crucial both in the modeling phase and in the interpretation of model results. It contributes to model development, model calibration, model validation, reliability and robustness analysis, decision-making under uncertainty, quality-assurance, and model reduction. Sensitivity analysis is required in policy impact studies according to many national and international regulations.

 

SAMO conferences are devoted to advances in research on sensitivity analysis methods and their interdisciplinary applications. SAMO Conferences are held every third year. The aim of  SAMO is to bring together researchers involved in the development of methods and strategies of sensitivity analysis in all disciplines of science, including physics, operations research, chemistry, biology, nanotechnology, engineering, environmental science, nuclear and industrial safety, economics and finance, etc.

Announcement of CLIMA 2016, 12th REHVA World Congress

Participate in the 12th REHVA World Congress CLIMA 2016 – the leading international scientific congress in the field of Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) in Aalborg, Denmark in May 2016. 
 
CLIMA 2016 is a congress for all stakeholders in the building sector as it deals with the full life cycle of buildings and their HVAC systems from design specification to demolition and reuse.
 
CLIMA 2016 will focus especially on energy efficient building and HVAC system performance in practice both in relation to fulfilment of the intended design, in relation to their ability to fulfil the needs of the occupants and interact with the users’ daily practice as well as in relation to their role in the future smart energy system.
 
CLIMA 2016 is now open for the submission of abstracts. We invite all experts to present their work and exchange views and ideas. The congress topics are listed on the website. If you wish to present a paper, an abstract should be submitted electronically and should provide suitable information to allow the significance and quality of your work to be determined. Review criteria include originality, scientific/technical quality of the results, and relevance to the conference.?The deadline for abstract submission is November 30, 2015.
